THE MISSION
We aim to rescue the capacity to take charge, and be touched/moved by the ocean through empathy understood as a political power that not only immerses us in co-responsibility for what happens in our shared ocean community, but also which empowers us to think of ocean and human well-being as one.
Concept
Ministries of the Ocean is a digital platform created to channel the views of groups historically excluded from ocean policy-making processes.
To achieve this, we designed extended open consultation processes to contact and engage actors who traditionally do not have access to political environments and governance processes (including the arts community, affected or marginalized communities, and other diverse voices). The objective is to transcend the systemic, bureaucratic, and material barriers that characterize these spaces to make them more open, transparent, and democratic.
